Revolutionary Appointments phase 1

a young man, dancing his heart out on mission and 4th

Photobucket ima ease into this

So due to a recent calling to “people” viewing, watching, interacting i was compelled to make this blog. A blog full of following and capturing the eccentrics, the eclectics, the stereotyped, the individuals, the privileged, the less privileged.. bottom line the PEOPLE.

Thus far i spent about a weekend full of interactions, its been difficult cause i have never really been one to speak actively to strangers. Anyways with this adventure i try to proactively engage in conversation which will hopefully end in photograph, and for the most part everyone is always down to talk, everyone has something to say and is willing to interact. So far it has been a very POSITIVE experience- but at the same time it has flipped my mind. How so you ask?

well i find myself lately looking and examining the homeless more. we see homeless and assume they are crazy, i beg to differ— well this is based on a 5 minute conversation, and constant observation- even when not taking photos just day to day. They are typically full of knowledge, politics, whats going on with the city that day etc. ehhh tangents.. anyways, think how it would feel to be down on your luck and homeless, then on top of that being shunned by society?! invisible..

siggghhhhh.. it bums(brings this term to a whole new meaning) me out greatly thinking how unfair this life can be.

so as i mentioned this is going to be all walks of life.

So as i was biking down the street, i saw the individual from the previous post and i went and spoke to him and his friend for a little while and they gave me the insight on this dance battle at 1 market.. i had to see what all the hype was about. Following that i met with revolutionary appointment 1 and i continued to the clocktower for this battle.

I arrive and throw down my bicycle, i begin to look around and i find the craziest, most unique clothed group of kids. I was amazed by their style, it was like a hip hop, punk rocker/ perhaps hipster meets hypebeast!? whatever you wanna call it, i thought it was unique and fresh.. anyways i was surprised by how organized this battle was.. these dudes had their stuff together. well none the less. i snapped some shots and continued on my day.

there is a little more insight to this project im trying to make happen. I HEART SF..

we are all people.
